- To create development projects such as public utilities, shopping
complex, garden, jetties, passenger terminal. Better housing and
better transport and communication.
- To strengthen the Institution of Penghulu and Ketua Kampong.
- To enhance the activities of the Consultative Councils not only in
terms of welfare and religious function but more importantly, on
economic issues.
- To issue Miscellaneous Licences.
- To provide public services such as rubbish collection and the
maintenance of drains and rivers.
- To maintain parks, gardens and recreation sites.
